Photo from Budget Tours Jamiaca.com

The glowing waters are a rare attraction, and Jamaica’s Luminous Lagoon is known to glow brighter than other places with glowing water in the world. It isn’t really the water that glows though, but rather the microscopic organisms that give off a phosphorescent blue light when touched. The organisms themselves are harmless, but they do make for a spectacular sight that is not to be missed!
