3 Tips to Keep Your Child Happy

Every parent wants a child who loves and is loved, follows their dreams and, above all, is happy. These three habits help.
1. Play together
Playtime with you teaches children about the world, builds trust and carries on the bond that started with rocking, singing and stories. Put the phone away. Kids often share feelings through play that they can't yet put into words.
2. Keep healthy snacks handy
Hungry kids get cranky and can't focus. Good options:
- Granola bars and trail mix
- Crackers and cheese
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- Peanut butter and jelly on whole-grain bread
- Raisins, pretzels, dried fruit or dry cereal
Healthy snacks grow healthy kids.
3. Make birthdays count
- A colourful cake, with their favourite character if you can.
- A small gift from you.
- A little party with carnival games, arts and crafts, or face painting with hypoallergenic, skin-safe paints.
